After the end of the season of talks, competitions and demonstrations we have a series of summer outings which take place on Tuesday evening at places in or near to Sheffield and at weekends for places further afield. Everyone enjoys these extra opportunities for meeting with friends and getting to know each other better and, of course, all the occasions offer photographic opportunities which many would probably not have found if alone. So, this year these are the dates you may like to put in your diaries.
The events/outings are open to all SPS members. For most of them there is no limit on numbers and no charge. Just turn up with your camera at the right time in the right place! If you are in doubt about anything 'phone the appropriate 'leader'. Don't forget these are social occasions as well as photographic opportunities and always produce a fund of excellent photographs. On the evening meetings you may find a tripod useful.
