Derwent Reservoir, Tuesday 15th June 2004

Frank Milner had carefully planned an interesting evening for us investigating the innards of Derwent Dam. Unfortunately, when we got there he found out that all access to the inside of the dam had been temporarily stopped by Yorkshire Water (something to do with a missing set of keys), so we couldn't go inside as planned. However, it was an absolutely beautiful evening, so it was easy to make the best of it and go for a walk alongside the reservoir and up to Bamford House (a ruin) to see the views in the clear evening light.
