Rivelin Glen Railway, Sunday 7th August 2005

This was an afternoon visit to the Rivelin Glen Railway, in the garden of David Mason, brother of the SPS secretary. David has been building this railway (with a small amount of help from me) since 1989, so it has now reached a pretty advanced state and is well blended into the garden. There are plenty of opportunities for photography, and if you get down very low it can look quite realistic - only Steve Dorey thought to bring along an angle finder for his SLR.

Some members could not come today because of holidays, so they might like to know that the railway is open again to the general public on Saturday 10th September 2005 from 11 to 5.
