Sailing on the Humber, Sunday 17th June and Saturday 28th July 2007

Limited numbers for each sailing meant that there were two expeditions to the Humber on board the sailing ship the Amy Howson. Janet Thorpe and Keith Allchin have supplied some excellent photos of the first trip; it looks like it was a memorable day out. I was on the second of the two trips which took place on a fine Saturday, for which we were duly grateful after the appalling recent weather. We had sunshine most of the day, but the breeze became quite strong and the sails had to come down, so the return journey was under engine power.
